Joshua dedicated his life to serving others as a Lauderhill firefighter and paramedic. When he was killed in an off-duty accident at just 26 years old, his family’s world was shattered.
But because of Joshua’s passion for organ donation, having relentlessly urged others at the fire department to become donors, it felt as though he always knew he would be able to give in a way that would outlive him.
“Joshua’s spirit lives on in the lives he saved and the people he inspired,” said his mother, Sharon. “But, the most powerful way to honor Joshua is also one of the simplest. Registering as an organ donor.”
His grandmother, Eleanor, adds, “Knowing that Joshua lives on in others is a meaningful gift that has helped our family heal.”
