Valentine’s Day is best known as a day to celebrate love. Feb. 14 also carries another meaning, however, that is rooted in love for our neighbors. Today is National Donor Day, a day set aside to raise awareness and appreciation for organ donation. This day holds special meaning for me and others who have received the gift of life thanks to organ donation.
