Jesús A. Rivera Feliciano was born on December 25, 1942 in Guayanilla, Puerto Rico. He always liked helping others and learning new things. That led him to study aviation, which ignited his passion for flying.
When he was 29 years old, he enlisted in the New Jersey National Guard and was later transferred to the 544th Military Police Company in Yauco, Puerto Rico. He served there for 20 years and for 2 years in the army (1990-1991) where he served our country in the Gulf War’s “Operation Desert Storm” in Kuwait.
Jesús always kept in shape by exercising, learning computing, and participating in different activities. However, his body had changed: he could not walk straight, constantly dropped things and was retaining fluid. The medical specialist diagnosed him: Stage IV Cirrhosis.
In February 2019, Jesús traveled to the state of Florida looking for hope for his life. After several months, on September 15, 2019, his family received the news that a liver had been found. That same day, the transplant surgery was performed, and everything was a success.
Jesús is happily married to Brunilda Martínez. He has 3 kids: Jesús Manuel, Brunny Mirelis, and Jesús Javier. And 2 granddaughters: Odette and Mireya Xcaret.
Today, Jesús is 82 years old and will celebrate 7 years since his transplant.
